This Secure MasterCard is a credit card with stored value for anyone who may have trouble getting a standard unsecured credit card. Issued by BankFIRST, this card requires a bank account to get started when applying online or a security deposit to be mailed in. Payments must be made in advance to offset future purchases made with the card. Advance payments are also available, funded directly from the cardholder's paycheck and added automatically each pay period. The Secure MasterCard can also be loaded by transferring funds from the cardholder's existing bank account, for a fee. This card has a few other fees, including an application fee and a monthly participation fee, but there are fewer qualifications compared to other secured credit cards. There are no credit checks, no employment requirements, and no security deposits.
